Buy now or wait?

Our read, not the brands’. It’s opinion, built from their announcements and the models they replace, and each one covers its whole category.

Drivers
Most of 2026's big drivers were announced in January: TaylorMade's Qi4D, Mizuno's JPX One, Cobra's OPTM, PING's G440 K and Callaway's Quantum. Titleist went its own way, announcing GTS in May for June shelves, and mini drivers kept coming, from Cobra's KING TEC-MD in January to Titleist's GTS300 in July. TaylorMade executives have said the company is moving to a two-year cycle and won't introduce a new driver in 2027. Women get PING's G Le4 driver plus women's builds from Callaway, Cobra, TaylorMade, Mizuno and Tour Edge. Our read: get fitted, and hit your current driver side by side with the new ones before you buy.
