Our take
This is Tour Weekly’s opinion, not the player’s or any brand’s.
Ruoning Yin's bag is a clinic in blending. She doesn't run one iron model from 4-iron to wedge: an Apex UT handles the 4-iron slot, Apex Ti Fusion irons take the 5 and 6, and X-Forged irons start at the 7. That's the move for any golfer who hits a crisp 8-iron but can't get a 5-iron airborne: match the head to the job instead of buying the set the catalog hands you. Her wedges are just as tidy, Opus SP at 50, 54 and 58 for even four-degree steps. And she mixes wood families, a 15° Quantum fairway wood beside a Paradym Ai Smoke Max 18°. If a fairway wood is your go-to off tight lies, there's no rule that says it retires when the driver does.
