What changed since the last start
None reported. ALBA's winner's-gear story says her setup is the same one that won the 2025 AIG Women's Open and her June 2026 Meijer LPGA Classic, shafts included. ALBA adds that she switched putters at the start of 2026 and changed shafts in the spring, then went back to this setup. GDO's Meijer and CPKC setting pages list the same clubs, shafts and ball.

Our take
This is Tour Weekly’s opinion, not the player’s or any brand’s.
Want proof that regular flex isn't a beginner's label? Miyu Yamashita won by nine and tied the LPGA's 72-hole scoring record with a 40-gram-class SR shaft in her driver, 50-gram-class SR shafts in her fairway woods and R300 Dynamic Gold in her irons. Her top end leans on height, too: 3-wood, 5-wood, 4- and 5-hybrids, then irons that start at the 6. If there's a 4-iron in your bag you only flush on the range, that's your hint to swap it for a hybrid. And notice her restraint: ALBA says she switched putters at the start of the season and changed shafts in the spring, then went back to the same setup that won her the 2025 AIG Women's Open. Fit the flex to your tempo, find your gamers, and quit auditioning.
